JE History
The origins of what we know today as JE Pistons can be traced back to 1912 and the Los Angeles foundry of William Jahns Sr. and his company W.H. Jahns. Employing the tagline, “Nothing but Pistons,” the W.H. Jahns company produced pistons and semi-finished pistons until 1948, when Jahns Sr. retired. Meanwhile, Jahns’ son, William “Uncle Bill” Jahns Jr., started and had been working on his company Jahns’ Racing Pistons since 1947. Shortly after, the business became Jahns’ Engineering Pistons, and was finally shortened to JE Pistons.
Through the following years, JE Pistons’ technology evolved, from mastering casting technology in the 60s to researching and implementing forging technology in the 70s. Numerical Controlled (NC) machines were introduced to manufacturing in the early 80s, which was quickly improved to the use of Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machines and a proprietary piston design and machining program in the mid-80s.

A key part of our custom piston process is our ability to laser scan piston domes, combustion chambers, and many other components to make exactly what is needed for a specific application. We applied our 3D Ultra-Crown milling technique to the dome design to achieve exact measurements and also added some extra custom features like our 3D undercrown milling to finish this one off set of pistons. Custom pistons are our specialty and we take pride in delivering exactly what our customers need to win races!

If you have a profile on file already why does it currently take 6 to 8 weeks to make pistons.?
Had mine under crown milled, so light! Should help the stock crank last a bit longer while I save for a proper crank! One query, can you machine in a recess for the end of a spark plug? Couldn't see anything on the custom piston form.
You make any for the 7.3?
I really like the oil drain back holes done that way
I like mine, but my compression ratio ended up being somewhat higher than originally calculated, given the bore size, etc., and my piston crowns weren't finished nearly as nice as that. Still gonna run them, hope you can do better next set.

Help reduce pitting and piston ring micro welding caused by detonation with our Electroless Nickel plating. Unlike other metal plating that loses hardness and softens when exposed to heat, EN plating gets harder as it runs.
